Iva Zothová

Iva specializes in M&A and corporate & commercial law, especially in the ICT sector.

Iva has more than 20 years of experience and provided advice to EU&US based institutional as well as financial investors on numerous significant transactions in the CEE region, including privatisations of major incumbents (telco, power, gas), acquisitions, acquisition financings, restructurings, joint ventures and as well as exits. She also regularly advises on corporate governance, shareholder disputes and executive & employee incentive schemes. Further, she represents clients in courts, both in civil as well as in administrative matters. She is a recognised specialist and is a co-author of the Kluwer’s M&A Handbook: « Corporate Acquisitions and Mergers, the Czech Republic » (2004 and 2007 issues).

Further, Iva is an arbitrator registered with the Czech Commodities Exchange (PRIAC).

Iva practised with Linklaters in Prague and Bratislava and holds a degree from the Charles University in Prague. Iva is fluent in Czech and English, and also understands Slovak, German and Italian.
