Louise joined the firm as a Trainee Solicitor in 2018 and qualified in July 2020 as a Solicitor with the firm. Since joining the firm Louise has advised in the electronic communications, energy, payment systems and post sectors. Louise has also gained experience advising clients on various regulatory regimes such as the Payment Service Directive (PSD2); the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Electronic Communications Code (EECC).

While at the firm, Louise has had extensive exposure in litigation at the Competition Appeal Tribunal, Court of Appeal and Administrative court being part of the Towerhouse teams working matters such as the

  • Ofcom Competition Act infringement decision in relation to Royal Mail’s abuse of a dominant position (2018). Acting for the successful complainant, Whistl, and
  • Judicial Review application by British Gas Trading Limited against an aspect of  an Ofgem Decision which set a price cap on certain tariffs for the retail supply of domestic energy for the first period of the price cap.

 

Louise holds an LLM in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Law and a Bachelor of Laws from the Open University. Louise is proficient in French and Greek and has a particular interest in the impact of new technologies, such as the future use and regulation of algorithms on the legal system.
